EMPLOYMENT opportunity
The Government of the Republic of Uganda received support from the International Development Association of the World Bank towards the Competitiveness and Enterprise Development Project – Land Component (CEDP AF - LC) under the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development.
The Ministry wishes to invite suitably qualified Ugandan citizens (candidates) to fill the positions of: Surveyor, Cartographer, Physical Planner, Land Officer, Registrar of Titles, Data Entry Clerk, Records Officer, Administrative Assistant and Information Technology Officer. The positions are on contract basis, renewable upon satisfactory performance.
a) Maintaining the operation health and stability of the infrastructure;
b) Maintaining and support Active Directory, Exchange and any other servers;
c) Monitor and mitigating risk and proactively provide solutions, including the risk and benefit analysis;
d) Providing backup and restore all or parts of the system and monitoring system performance;
e) Configuring Network User Resources and establish and maintain network connectivity;
f) Carrying out startup and shutdown procedures;
g) Creating documentation on the current configuration of user host machines
h) Demonstrating and sharing domain expertise to the institution;
i) Installing and configuring new hardware and software;
j) Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes;
k) Identifying gaps in current processes, update and maintain the process documentation;
l) Performing routine audits of systems and software.
m) Administering user accounts, permissions, access rights providing oncall support to end-users;
n) Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
