EMPLOYMENT opportunity
The Government of the Republic of Uganda received support from the International Development Association of the World Bank towards the Competitiveness and Enterprise Development Project – Land Component (CEDP AF - LC) under the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development.
The Ministry wishes to invite suitably qualified Ugandan citizens (candidates) to fill the positions of: Surveyor, Cartographer, Physical Planner, Land Officer, Registrar of Titles, Data Entry Clerk, Records Officer, Administrative Assistant and Information Technology Officer. Applicants who will not hear from the Ministry following completion of the recruitment and selection exercise should consider themselves unsuccessful. The positions are on contract basis, renewable upon satisfactory performance.
a) To verify the quality of uploaded and processed parcels;
b) To analyse the parcel geometry and fitness to the topological data parameters and standards;
c) To verify orientation of processed parcels including position, boundaries, size and shape using standard cartographic equipment/tools;
d) To verify the exact positions, measurement of points, elevations, lines, areas, or other features of land in relation to the orthophoto and other available reference layers;
e) To prepare and print Cadastral Display Maps for display by the Service Provider;
f) To cartographically extract the parcel geometry cadastral prints for digital plotting;
g) To check and verify the quality of the extracted parcel geometry cadastral prints;
h) To perform digital plotting of the parcels;
i) To review and commit plotted parcels;
j) To review and commit Deed Plans of the plotted parcels;
k) To generate, commit and print Deed Plan of the approved parcels;
l) To provide technical support to the team;
m) To document and code poor quality (encroachment of parcels) by village and forward it to the Supervisor;
n) Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
