EMPLOYMENT opportunity

 

  1.  Background

The Government of the Republic of Uganda received support from the International Development Association of the World Bank towards the Competitiveness and Enterprise Development Project – Land Component (CEDP AF - LC) under the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development.

 

The Ministry wishes to invite suitably qualified Ugandan citizens (candidates) to fill the positions of: Surveyor, Cartographer, Physical Planner, Land Officer, Registrar of Titles, Data Entry Clerk, Records Officer, Administrative Assistant and Information Technology Officer. Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans in possession of an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Planning; or Land Use Planning; or Urban and Regional Planning; or City/Urban Planning; or Town and Regional Planning; or any other related discipline from a recognized University / Institution.
Working Experience
Working experience of one (1) year in Physical Planning and preparation of Physical Development Plans.
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Senior Physical Planner for performing the following duties:-

a)     To verify the quality of uploaded and processed parcels according to the Rapid Physical Planning Appraisal (RaPPA);

b)     To review compliance of the surveys according to the Physical Planning standards and guidelines;

c)     To prepare and print Layout Plan for the parcels;

d)     To review and commit plotted parcels according to the Physical Planning standards and guidelines;

e)     To provide technical support to the team;

f)      To document poor quality (parcels below the standards) by village and forward it to the Supervisor;

g)     Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
