EMPLOYMENT opportunity

 

  1.  Background

The Government of the Republic of Uganda received support from the International Development Association of the World Bank towards the Competitiveness and Enterprise Development Project – Land Component (CEDP AF - LC) under the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development.

 

The Ministry wishes to invite suitably qualified Ugandan citizens (candidates) to fill the positions of: Surveyor, Cartographer, Physical Planner, Land Officer, Registrar of Titles, Data Entry Clerk, Records Officer, Administrative Assistant and Information Technology Officer. Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans in possession of an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Law plus a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from a recognized University / Institution.
Working Experience
Working experience of one (1) year in Land Administration and Management.
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Senior Registrar of Titles for performing the following duties:-

a)     To verify the quality of registration documents to the approved standards and guidelines;

b)     To review compliance of the registration according to the standards and guidelines;

c)     To review and check that all registration documents and support files are dully complied with;

d)     To approve compliance of the registration documents and support files;

e)     To generate, commit and print Certificates of Title for the approved applicants;

f)      To provide technical support to the team;

g)     To document and record poor quality registration documents by village and forward it to the Supervisor;

h)     Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
